Debt Protection
- In the event of death, cancels the remaining loan balance up to a maximum in the contract.
- If you become disabled, cancels up to a maximum number of loan payments based on the contract.
- If you are involuntarily unemployed, cancels up to a maximum number of loan payments based on the contract.
Depreciation Protection (DPW)
- Protects your vehicles equity and hedges against depreciation over the life of the loan.
- In the event of a total loss, DPW provides a waiver benefit equal to the difference between your vehicle's value at the time of purchase, less your loan balance at the time of loss up to a maximum waiver benefit of $10,000, or the outstanding loan balance.
Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)
- GAP covers the difference between your outstanding loan balance and the actual cash value (ACV) of the vehicle up to the maximum 125% LTV.
- May provide you with up to a $1,000 credit towards the financing or a replacement vehicle financed or leased with Fort Financial.
- May also cover up to $1,000 of your deductible if there is a “gap” after the primary insurance settlement is paid. Not available in New York or Alaska.
Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP)
- Protects your vehicle against the high cost of covered repairs
- Provides services such as rental car allowance, 24/7 roadside assistance and towing
- Protects your vehicle after your warranty has expired
Auto Essentials Vehicle Protection Plan (VPP)
- Protects you from normal driving incidents and out-of-pocket expenses that aren't typically covered by insurance policies, manufacturers' warranties or extended warranties.
- Benefits include: key or remote replacement, tire & wheel road hazard protection, paintless dent repair and windshield repair.
- 24-hour roadside assistance provides: towing, emergency roadside service, essential fluid delivery, flat tire emergency, flat tire assistance, emergency battery assistance and lockout services.
