We are collecting items and raising funds for two area organizations this holiday season. From Wednesday, November 20th through Friday, December 13th, the Corporate and Dupont branches will have donation boxes set up to collect the most needed items at the H.O.P.E. for Animals Clinic. The Auburn branch will have donation boxes set up for the DeKalb Humane Society.
If you would like to contribute, simply bring in the requested item(s) and place them in the donation boxes by December 13th.
H.O.P.E. for Animals Clinic is in need of 13-gallon trash bags, 39-gallon garbage bags, paper towels, Kleenex tissues, sanitizing wipes, hand soap, free and clear laundry soap, bleach, toilet paper and canned dog and/or cat food.
The DeKalb Humane Society is in need of newspapers, blankets, pet toys and canned dog and/or cat food.
The Fort Wayne Meijer branches will be selling paper ornaments. Each ornament sold will be displayed at the branches through December 13th. All money raised will be donated to the organizations.
The H.O.P.E. for Animals Clinic’s mission is to eliminate the preventable euthanasia of companion animals by offering high-quality low-cost spay/neuter and wellness services; by supporting rescue; and by promoting responsible pet ownership.
The DeKalb Humane Society operates a no-kill shelter and serves the DeKalb County area by promoting animal adoption, education on responsible animal ownership and welfare and raising awareness of animal neglect and abuse.
